I've worked in technical support and IT, and I hold a Diploma in Business Information Systems from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I also build software — websites and mobile apps — which means I can handle the things a repair shop usually sends you elsewhere for.

Most of that time was spent doing exactly this: sitting with someone whose computer had stopped cooperating, working out what was actually wrong, and explaining it in a way that made sense to them. I've seen the same problems hundreds of times. Yours is probably one of them.

I started Local Tech Solutionsbecause of a pattern I kept noticing: people were nervous to ask for help. They'd apologise for not knowing the words. They'd put up with something broken for months rather than risk an open-ended bill or a tech who talked down to them.
